This will surely be one of the most exciting blog posts I’ll ever write! My sister got engaged!!! After 6 years together, Dylan decided to ask the question surrounded by the beautiful views of Rocky Mountain National Park.

Dylan’s original plan was to propose at Garden of the Gods, but he decided to bring the ring along on our last hike in the Rocky Mountains just in case. He said if it felt right, he’d do it there. I brought my camera along and kept saying how I couldn’t wait to take photos at the top of the mountain. Aubrey didn’t find this “off” or weird at all since I’d been taking photos the entire trip up to this point. We hiked to the top of Gem Lake and then continued up the side of one of the mountains at the top so that we could get the beautiful views in the background. You can’t really tell from the photos, but it was SOOO windy that the proposal almost didn’t happen! Dylan actually called it off, and then at the last minute the wind completely stopped.

The first photo shows Dylan grabbing the ring from his pocket, and then he immediately turned to Aubrey and got down on one knee. Aubrey was completely caught off guard and only had to ask “Are you serious?!” about 20 times before saying yes. 🥂✨
