I was so excited when Nathan reached out to me about photographing his proposal to Katie (MONTHS in advance, might I add!). We chatted a few times before the big day to make sure we were on the same page and had a solid game plan in place. It was a chilly January morning as Katie and Nathan both left church and headed into Washington DC. Walking hand in hand, they approached the gorgeous Library of Congress building where Nathan stopped in the middle and turned towards Katie. After a few sweet words, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Afterwards, we took some newly engaged photos before the two headed to a surprise brunch Nathan had planned!

What better way to start 2022?! Thank you Nathan and Katie for choosing me to document such a special milestone.
